Medico-Legal Reports & Expert Opinions
We provide specialist neuropsychological evaluations for a variety of legal and insurance-related cases. These assessments are conducted by professionals trained to identify and understand the effects of brain injuries, cognitive impairments, and mental health difficulties in the context of legal claims.

Our services include:
-
Road Accident Fund (RAF) assessments
For individuals who may have suffered a head injury or brain trauma due to a motor vehicle accident. These assessments help determine the extent of the cognitive or emotional damage and its impact on daily life, future work and earning capacity and need for further psychological intervention.
-
Third-party claims
In cases where someone has sustained a brain injury due to another person’s negligence (e.g. in accidents), we provide expert reports to support legal proceedings or compensation claims.
-
Medical negligence
In cases involving brain injury resulting from a failure to meet the expected standard of medical care, we assess the extent of the damage, its impact on daily functioning, and the need for further psychological or neuropsychological support.
-
Curatorship evaluations
We assess individuals who may no longer be able to manage their own affairs due to conditions such as dementia or severe brain injury. Our evaluations assist the courts in deciding if a curator (curator bonis, curator ad litem or curator persona) should be appointed.
-
Capacity assessments
We assess individuals’ ability to safely drive, own firearms, or perform specific types of work.
-
Criminal matters
In certain criminal cases, we provide expert insight into a person’s mental state, capacity, or functioning to assist the court in understanding the psychological and cognitive context of the behaviour and assess their fitness to stand trial.
