Aviation Neuropsychological Assessments
We evaluate the cognitive and psychological readiness of pilots and other aviation professionals to operate safely in complex aviation environments. We assess how well the brain is functioning in areas essential to flight performance.

This includes evaluating cognitive functions that are vital for managing in-flight tasks, responding to emergencies, and maintaining situational awareness such as attention, memory, information processing speed, executive functioning (e.g., decision-making, planning, and multitasking), and reaction time.
Neuropsychological assessments are commonly requested in situations where a pilot has experienced a medical event that could affect brain function—such as a concussion, stroke, neurological illness, or psychiatric condition. They may also be part of the return-to-duty process after a period of illness, or when concerns arise regarding in-flight performance or behaviour.
By providing objective, evidence-based evaluations, neuropsychologists contribute to flight safety and help inform decisions about fitness to fly, medical certification, and when appropriate, the development of return-to-duty or rehabilitation plans.
